Our
Tennis.World.Craze!’s WTA Comeback player of the year is definitely……………
Cibulkova
had her best year in her career despite being ranked as low as No.66 in the
rankings in February after returning from an Achilles injury that forced her
out of action for a long period of time. She won 4 titles, including the WTA
Finals, her biggest title of her career, to rise to No.5 in the rankings and
end the year at that position.
The
highlight of Cibulkova’s season is definitely winning the WTA Finals in
Singapore despite losing 2 matches in the Round Robin. She made an improbable
comeback in the final set against Kuznetsova, and strolled to the title after
she defeated World No.1 Angelique Kerber in straight sets.
