Our
Tennis.World.Craze!’s WTA Youngster of the Year is definitely……………
Daria
Kasatkina had her breakthrough season last year, reaching the third round of
the US Open as a lucky-loser after Sharapova withdrew and reached the
semifinals of the Kremlin Cup as a qualifier. This year, she managed to break
into the Top 30 of the rankings, and now she is the youngest player in the Top
40 of the rankings.
The
highlights of her season are definitely reaching the semifinals of the St.
Petersburg Ladies Trophy, quarterfinals of Indian Wells, Montreal and the
Olympics. She also had her first 2 Top 10 wins in her career over Venus
Williams in Auckland and Roberta Vinci in Montreal.
